I started my running journey with a distance of 10km at the Hanoi midnight 2022 race.
The race attracted attracted nearly 10,000 registered athletes. The race is already heated from the started with a forest of athletes
A memorable experience during this race is when I got the finish line mistaken. While I was running in the dark, I saw a bright light in front of me and two groups of people cheering on both sides . I didn't have time to raise my head to see if it was the finish line and I thought I had arrived. After passing the line, I took a walk to stretch my muscles. That’s when a group of athletes overtook me. I was startled for a second then took off running after them.
It turned out that the finish line was 500m ahead. I was 3 minutes behind my planned schedule. What a pity! I kept it as a precious lesson.
I couldn't buy the original bib because I registered too late, so I had to use someone else's bib, but this was my race time. Next time, I will register early and sign up for a longer route, and try my best.
Another thing I regret about this race is that since it took place at night, the organizers didn't take many photos and the view wasn't as beautiful as running during the day.
I had to searched for a long time just to find a few photos of me in the corner of the picture
